… a type of lizard – a basilisk – you see frequently running across the street on its hind legs at some speed in Roatan. The Roatan equivalent of the Road Runner. Also known as the Jesus Lizard because it can run across deep water. Webbed hind feet can propel this little lizard across water at speeds up to 5 feet per second….but how did it get to be Roatan’s special drink. Who knows?
Or...a rather deadly, in a manner of speaking, drink. The sugar hides the effects of all the alcohol. A single drink can have up to four shots of booze in it. The sugar rush and good times makes you have another…until you’re asleep on your seat or on the floor…. and all that sugar and alcohol will leave a vicious hangover.

1 oz Bailey’s
1 oz Kahlua
½ oz Vodka
½ oz Rum
Generous splash of coconut cream
Pour over a blender of ice, blend for 30 seconds
Squirt of chocolate syrup
Stir…
